Ready, set, go!

The purpose of the project was to create an internship and guidance program for young people who are not in school or working, where the goal was to increase their opportunities for employment and to create confidence in the future. Hornudden has extensive experience of working with young people. They see that they can fill a need for these young people, who are referred to as "home sitters". The young people are now within the municipality's activity responsibility, but it only offers activities a couple of times a week and many times there is a lack of internships that suit the most vulnerable. The idea was that the internship at Hornudden should take place in Hornudden's regular work but with a starting point in each young person's individual action plan. It can, for example, be about practicing time management, practicing social contacts, breaking isolation, but also as a first introduction to working life and what expectations an employer has of an employee.
