Leader as hub for rural development in Sörmland

Sörmland lives

Sörmland lives – Together and proud! This is the name of our collaboration platform, which is processed by the boards of Leader Södermanland, Hela Sverige ska leva Sörmland and Leader Sörmlandkusten. Together with our ambassadors from the non-profit, public and private sectors, we have begun creating the story of Sörmland. We also work to raise rural issues on the political agenda across Sörmland.

Purpose of the project

The aim is to develop better conditions for relevant actors from the non-profit, public and private sectors to collaborate more effectively on the region's rural development and enable greater participation from grassroots actors.

SUB-GOAL 1

Communication and PR

The project offers communication and PR efforts to our ambassadors and collaborating organizations. Through image and film production, we will highlight our ambassadors, interesting examples and tourist destinations that work for sustainable rural development in Sörmland. The collaboration platform Sörmland lever has been created on the social media channels Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Youtube.

SUB-GOAL 2

The story of Sörmland

Together with our ambassadors and collaborating organizations, we have begun the story of Sörmland that will be presented at the Rural Parliament in 2024. Our sister organization Hela Sverige ska leva Sörmland is arranging the Rural Parliament May 23 - 26, 2024 in Nyköping.

SUB-GOAL 3

Raising rural issues

Through roundtable discussions, we work to raise rural issues on the political agenda in Sörmland. Together with our discussion leader Eva Westergren, the chairwoman of the municipal board, an actor from the non-profit sector and an actor from the private sector in the municipality, we hold roundtable discussions on cooperation for sustainable rural development in each municipality. Together, we discuss the following issues:

What would you like to highlight in the story about Sörmland?
What needs to be done better for sustainable rural development in your municipality?
What do you think is needed to improve cooperation between different actors for rural development in Sörmland?
