Project support

Our different types of project support

You can apply for support for leader projects, project support for companies and feasibility studies within our areas of focus.

Project support 1

Project support

A project is a process with an expected result within a certain period of time. A Leader project also aims to develop one of our rural areas together with others and should result in broad benefits. Organizations in and outside the Leader Södermanland area can apply for project support, provided that the benefit of the project accrues to the Leader area.. In leader projects, you need to contribute through your own commitment. This means that you yourself must contribute with non-profit resources in the form of time worked or other resources such as premises, materials, etc. It is possible to receive support for up to 100% of the project's actual costs in addition to the non-profit resources.

Leader projects are carried out together with others and you must have at least one partner in the project and the project must be carried out within our focus areas. Leader projects must follow the Leader method and meet our absolute basic conditions. We assess Leader projects based on selection criteria for each focus area and the minimum level for priority is 650 points. The application may be subject to competition and then the application with the highest score will be given priority. The application is made formally in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's e-service.

All information must be included in the project application for the Leader project, including the activity plan, budget and other relevant documents. Scoring and prioritization will be based on the information included in the application.

You will find our selection criteria for leader projects here.

Project support 2

Project support for companies

Project support for companies is a special form of company support where the benefit should accrue to more than just the applicant company. The company needs to collaborate with another actor who will also benefit from the initiative over time, for example another company or an association. It is also desirable that the initiative contributes to some form of public benefit or local development for the region. Private and non-profit organizations within the Leader Södermanland area can apply for project support for companies. Actors outside the area are not covered by the support, and the urban areas of Katrineholm and Eskilstuna are not included in the Leader area..

Project support for companies is implemented together and you must have at least one partner and the project must be implemented within our focus areas. To receive project support for companies, the project must follow the Leader method and meet our absolute basic conditions. We assess project support for companies based on selection criteria for each focus area and the minimum level for priority is 650 points. You can receive up to 70% or a maximum of 300,000 SEK in project support for companies for initiatives aimed at developing the company, its partners or the region. Project support for companies is applied for and assessed in the same way as a Leader project.

Pre-study project

Conducting a feasibility study can be a good way to investigate the conditions for a project or initiative that you want to implement, with or without leader support.

A feasibility study should:
• investigate needs, wishes and current situation
• investigate desired possible goals, desired results and effects, and different scenarios
• investigate initiatives that can contribute to meeting the strategy's goals
• investigate resources and plans
• provide consensus and create collaborations
• lead to new knowledge
• create a financing plan for the future
• structure the content of a project implementation

Pre-studies must be carried out within our areas of focus and otherwise also follow the Leader method and meet our absolute basic conditions. We assess pre-studies based on our own selection criteria and the minimum level for priority is 300 points. The application may be put out to competition and then priority will be given to the application that has received the highest points. The application is made in the same way as a Leader project.

All information must be included in the project application for the feasibility study, including activity plan, budget and other relevant documents. Scoring and prioritization are based on the information included in the application.
