umbrella project – preparedness workshop

About the project

The Umbrella Project – Preparedness Workshop is an implementation project that follows the feasibility study 2024-1170 Prepared in
Sörmland – preliminary study.

The objective of the feasibility study was to investigate possible preparedness interventions through Leader in Leader
Södermanland area. This took place in collaboration with local emergency response actors including the municipalities in the area.

The feasibility study has identified the following preparedness needs:

  • Higher preparedness capacity in the local community so that they can handle the initial phase when a crisis has occurred.
  • Long-term preparedness cooperation at the local level.

Leader Södermanland will work with these needs in two separate projects:

  • Ready in the Södermanland hinterland – preparedness in collaboration
  • Umbrella project – Preparedness workshop

The umbrella project – Preparedness Workshop will enable the implementation of ideas that arise in the project Ready in the Södermanland hinterland – preparedness in collaboration.
