A GOOD START - a preliminary study

The preliminary study A Good Start aims to provide children and young people in Stallarholmen with equal opportunities to succeed in life. The goal is a thorough analysis of the current situation and needs, mapping of support measures that exist and what is missing, as well as establishing contact with research.

The project owner is the association Drömfabriken in Stallarholmen. They are committed to making Stallarholmen a good place for children and young people to grow up. The association will investigate which support measures are currently directed at children, young people, and parents, what leisure activities are available in the local community, and what current research exists regarding the measures being planned. 

Drömfabriken will also find out how they can create sustainable structures where parents, seniors, and others can collaborate to support children and young people, as well as identify which partners can contribute resources in an upcoming leader project and write collaboration agreements with them.

The preliminary study plans to conduct many conversations with expectant parents and parents of small children, meetings with children and young people, as well as interviews with the principal of the preschool and primary school. Drömfabriken also wants to establish a collaboration with Mälardalen University. Through a future leader project, Drömfabriken aims to contribute to creating the very best conditions for all children and young people in Stallarholmen to feel seen and have adults around them who support them with school, leisure, and future building.
