Leader Södermanland grants SEK 268,849 to Drömfabriken in Stallarholmen for a feasibility study
At Leader Södermanland's latest board meeting on March 28, SEK 268,849 in LEADER support was granted to the Drömfabriken association in Stallarholmen to conduct the feasibility study En God Start. The association is committed to making Stallarholmen a good place for children and young people to grow up. The goal of the feasibility study is a thorough analysis of the current situation and needs, a mapping of support measures that exist and what is missing, and to establish contact with research at Mälardalen University.
– We are extremely happy and grateful for the support from Leader Södermanland to conduct our feasibility study. We will investigate what support measures are currently aimed at children, young people and parents, what leisure activities are available in the local community and what current research is available regarding the measures we are planning, says Stefan Seidel, secretary, Drömfabriken.
– We also want to find out how we can create sustainable structures where parents, seniors and others can collaborate to support children and young people, as well as identify which partners can contribute resources in an upcoming leader project and write collaboration agreements with them. We believe in the saying It takes a village to raise a child, says Stefan, who is one of two project leaders in the preliminary study.
– The ambition is great with the feasibility study and in accordance with what the Leader method is about, that several actors cooperate to jointly develop a development strategy based on an area's local conditions and prioritize which initiatives should be made. We at Leader believe that the feasibility study can build a good foundation for a future Leader project, says Kristin Vettorato, operations manager, Leader Södermanland.
The Dream Factory's preliminary study plans to conduct many conversations with prospective parents and parents of young children, meetings with children and young people, and interviews with the principals of the preschool and primary school. The Dream Factory also wants to establish a collaboration with Mälardalen University. Through a future leader project, the Dream Factory wants to contribute to creating the very best conditions for all children and young people in Stallarholmen to feel seen and have adults around them who support them with school, leisure time and building a future.
