Good Enough

About the project

In Sweden, mental health among young people was increasing at an alarming rate. Kungsör riding club saw this clearly among the young people, especially girls, who participated in their riding activities. They struggled with anxiety, depression, self-harm and low self-esteem, as well as an incredible performance anxiety where they felt they always had to be perfect. The riding club leaders did their best to help, but they lacked sufficient resources and tools.

The Good Enough leadership project aimed to reverse this negative trend and reduce mental ill health among young people. By strengthening their self-esteem and self-confidence, the project owner, Kungsörs ridklubb, wanted to give the young people a stable foundation to stand on. The project's goal was to arrange a series of meetings where both young people and leaders were given concrete tools and examples for personal development and to improve their operations.

The result was inspiring and positive. Through the meetings, the young people learned new ways to deal with their challenges and build their self-esteem. The leaders were equipped with the tools they needed to better support the young people. Together, they created an environment where everyone could feel safe, grow and develop, both as individuals and as part of the riding club community.
